History
Yorktown is part of the Historic Triangle comprised of Williamsburg-Jamestown-Yorktown. Travel from the cottages, in the Yorktown historic district, to Williamsburg and Jamestown is a short, peaceful drive along the Colonial Parkway.

Explore the www.VisitYorktown.org website for information on local shopping, dining, museums, restaurants, art, outdoor activities, events, and more. Enjoy events such as free concerts, the Yorktown Market Days, and wine and beer festivals. The trolley schedule is also posted.
Beaches & Biking
Yorktown is located on the banks of the beautiful York River and Chesapeake Bay. For an ocean experience, plan a day trip to Virginia Beach. There are several miles of biking trails along the Historic Tour Road in Yorktown. Many avid bicyclists enjoy biking along the Colonial Parkway to Williamsburg and Jamestown.
