Yorktown is part of the Historic Triangle comprised of Williamsburg-Jamestown-Yorktown. Travel from the cottages, in the Yorktown historic district, to Williamsburg and Jamestown is a short, peaceful drive along the Colonial Parkway.
Come commemorate America’s Independence in 2026 and celebrate where America’s journey began. We invite you to join us in sharing this exciting milestone for the Historic Triangle, by incorporating Yorktown Cottages in your 2026 travels.
Explore the www.VisitYorktown.org website for information on local shopping, dining, museums, restaurants, art, outdoor activities, events, and more. Enjoy events such as free concerts, the Yorktown Market Days, and wine and beer festivals. The trolley schedule is also posted.
Yorktown is located on the banks of the beautiful York River and Chesapeake Bay. For an ocean experience, plan a day trip to Virginia Beach. There are several miles of biking trails along the Historic Tour Road in Yorktown. Many avid bicyclists enjoy biking along the Colonial Parkway to Williamsburg and Jamestown. In 2025, check for closures as they prepare for the 250-year celebration.
Click the "Virginia Is For Lovers" logo or this link, http://www.virginia.org, to learn more about Virginia attractions. For example, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA are all a short drive from the cottages.
