Yorktown Cottages, a strong supporter of community engagement, was a gold sponsor to the 2024 Yorktown Workboat Races, as this event returned to the Yorktown waterfront after 19 years! These races celebrate the Chesapeake Bay Deadrise history as the official State Boat of Virginia, the working watermen of the Chesapeake Bay, and the seafood they bring to the table. Workboat Life, the organizer of this event, celebrates the heritage of the working watermen and their boats.
Yorktown Cottages is also an official Trail Site on the Virginia Oyster Trail.
